I don't know about Bandcamp

I mean, Bandcamp is great, as far as I know. I don't think True Red's Ramones tribute album "Tomorrow the World" will be posted there, though.

In the interest of being thorough, it will be listed as a trackless album on Bandcamp and in the description there will be instructions that the album can be downloaded for keeps from this website (trueredmusic.com).

I had planned to acquire mechanical licenses for all these songs, which would allow for them to be legally downloaded for keeps (i.e. here on this site and sites like Bandcamp). I'm not going to acquire licenses for streaming, because these days all the big streaming services handle that on your behalf (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) You can upload cover songs/albums, and they handle the licensing aspect for the streaming of your cover songs.

Not Bandcamp. Mechanical licensing would take care of the downloadable aspect, but not the streaming aspect on their platform.

So, at this time, I think I'll just post that trackless album on Bandcamp with instructions to grab it for free/option to pay here on trueredmusic.com. I don't want to jeopardize my account there, as I'd like for my future original tunes be available on Bandcamp.

Unless something changes.
